Board Members
Jessica Davey
Chairperson
Jessica serves as the Board Chair of the Northern BC Queer Connection Society, offering her dedicated service since 2022. With a professional background in real estate and life coaching, Jessica holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, which enhances her leadership abilities and strategic insight. Before assuming her current position, Jessica actively volunteered as both a board member and a crisis intervention peer counselor for a 2SLGBTQIA+ society, demonstrating her profound commitment to supporting and advocating for marginalized communities. Beyond her advocacy work, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, biking, skiing, and snowboarding. Her diverse expertise, unwavering passion for social equity, and active engagement in outdoor activities render her an invaluable leader within the Northern BC Queer Connection Society.
Jacob Harder
Treasurer
Delighted to serve as Treasurer for Northern BC Queer Connections. With experience as a Financial Analyst for research projects at the University of Northern British Columbia, he can understand various reporting structures and requirements. Passionate about social justice and sustainability, Jake is dedicated to advancing our services for queer and trans folks of the north.
Nicholas Cook
Secretary
Originally from Collingwood ON, Nick has been a Guest living in Prince George BC, unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh, since 2017. Nick has a personal passion for supporting community members of diverse backgrounds; including community members living with cognitive impairments and physical disabilities, Indigenous populations, and the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Nick recently completed the Bachelor of Social Work Program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). His work with community includes applying a person-centered, intersectional, holistic, feminist, Indigequeer, 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive, anti-abelist, anti-racist, anti-oppressive framework while fighting injustice and advocating for positive social change. As a member of the Queer community, Nick has been focused on developing, facilitating, and supporting Queer programming and drop-in groups, and being the person and sharing the safe spaces he needed when he was younger. In his personal time Nick enjoys hiking, camping, plant-care and gardening. Nick and his husband have two cats, Ted and Penny, a dog named Charlie, and countless houseplants.

Skye Wilson
Director
Skye is a Two-Spirit, Gitxsan, activist from Kispiox, BC. They are a workshop facilitator, Indigenous advocate, and a member of the Prince George community since 2013. They have formal education in English, currently working as a Research Assistant at the Community-based Research Centre, Vice-Chair of the Youth Council at Two-Spirits in Motion, currently working on their Master’s in Indigenous literature at UNBC. Skye began activism in the community with the guidance of YouthCO HIV/Hep C organization. Skye hopes to help their communities in any way they can. In their free time, Skye likes volleyball, playing with their dog, and attending live music!
