YWCA BELIEVE

YWCA Believe is a free employment program designed for self-identified gender-diverse or 2SLGBTQIA+ newcomers and refugees.

Program Highlights

  • One-to-one career coaching and support
  • Workshops covering Resume and Cover Letter Development, Interview Skills, and Outness in the Workplace
  • Transportation and childcare support for eligible participants
  • Referrals to community partners
  • Wraparound services available

Participants Must Be

Self-identified gender-diverse or 2SLGBTQIA+ newcomers who are one of the following:

  • Permanent Residents in Canada
  • Convention Refugees or Protected Persons
  • Ukrainian temporary residents
  • Temporary Foreign Workers with work permits under s.112 of the IRPR
  • Live-in Caregivers (except language training)

New participants are welcomed on a monthly basis.
